My dear Hamish. How saddened I was to hear of your passing. Im so very glad I came in that day to tell you I have retired. You held my hand and said "Im really going to miss you, will you come back and visit me". I managed to see you one more time. So happy I did. You made my cleaniing days at Green Gables so worth it knowing you. You were always a true gentleman and had a wonderful sense of humour. That last day I saw you, you told me your toilet was blocked could I fix it for you. I replied Hamish I no longer work here. He looked at me with those eyes looking sad and said oh no thats right you have retired. Did I unblock your toilet ? How could I not as I would always do my best to help you. He said thankyou so much with the biggest smile. I said my goodness Hamish you know how to use those eyes to your advantage and laughed. Your reply Hamish was "laughing saying you know me so well ". As I left that day you said to me "thankyou Karen for visiting me I will never forget you". I went back and gave you another hug and said " thankyou Hamish for simply being you we all love you to bits". I had to leave quickly after that last hug because I had tears running down my face. So I say now Rest In Peace you lovely lovely man. Love to your beautiful daughter & family. Love Karen your cleaner xxx.
