Passed away peacefully on 8 August 2025, aged 89. Born in Wellington, Don was a loving husband to Val for 68 years, a devoted father to Jim (deceased) and David and a cherished grandfather to 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Don will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom humour and unwavering dedication to his family, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Crofton Downs Retirement Village for their care and support of Don. A private family service was held on Wednesday, prior to this notice In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated, in honour of Don's gratitude for their service.

Don was a special person, devoted to Val., James and David, an astute and respected real estate office manager, and meticulous about his appearance, home and cars.
