WALA,
Edward John (Eddie):
On 11th May 2021, peacefully at Wellington Hospital, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband and friend of Margaret, loved father of Mark, Robert, Halina, and Edward. Much loved grandfather of Jessica, Samuel, Thomas, Jacob, Charlotte, Mathew, Grace, and Christian. Loved brother of Renata and Wesley. The Wala family would like to acknowledge all the Polish Children of Pahiatua of which Eddie was so proud to be one. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wellington SPCA, PO Box 7069, Newtown, Wellington 6021 or www.spca.nz/donate would be appreciated. Special thanks to the Margaret Stewart Hospital and Wellington Hospital's North 5C staff who cared for Eddie. Your support has been greatly appreciated and we thank you very much. A special thank you to Dr Philip Matheson for all his care over the last 9 years. Messages to the Wala family may be left in Eddie's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/- PO Box 44-176, Lower Hutt 5040. Eddie's funeral service will be held at the St Martin de Porres, Catholic Church, 8 Park Avenue, Epuni, Lower Hutt, on Tuesday 18th May 2021, at 11.00am, followed by a private burial.
