Eileen Joan (nee Pigott):
Peacefully on 25 April 2022 at Hutt Hospital, aged 96. Dearly loved wife of the late Raymond (Ray). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Valerie and Garth Pannett (Masterton). Much loved mother of David and partner Beth (Whanganui) and mother in-law of Lois (Upper Hutt). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Ian and Gillian (Korumburra, Australia) and much loved mother of Nicholas (Nik) and partner Sally (Paraparaumu Beach). Loved Grandmother of Jane, Richard, Clare, Elizabeth, Michael, Anna, and Tom. Loved Great-grandmother of Emma, Bella, Leo, Hannah, Charlie, Adam, Amelia, Lucy, Rosa, James, Alice, Henry, Max, Thomas and Charlotte. Loved sister of the late Doris (England). The family wish to acknowledge with gratitude the respectful care provided by the staff at Aroha Care Centre. A family service has been held followed by cremation. All messages to the Curry family, c/- 35 Stewart Street, Aramoho, Whanganui.

Eileen has been a part of my life since I was a child, welcoming me into her home to play with many, many litters of golden retrievers. She became a dear friend as I grew up and has always been there supporting me in my career with animals.
A kind- hearted, witty, and intelligent woman with the most amazing memory, I will forever admire Eileen´s passion and her ability to speak the truth.

An amazing lady with a caring and generous heart. She enriched our lives with one of her wonderful golden retrievers. Her enthusiasm for sharing the love of dogs never wavered.

Sincere condolences to all the family. We have lovely memories of Eileen and Ray since 1979 when we acquired our first Goldie. It was such a delight to get to know the whole family as well. Eileen's service to the canine community over many years will not be forgotten. We send our love to you all.
