Joe, you were one of the sweetest souls a person could know - with a heart of pure gold. We are so sad to learn of your passing. You always went above and beyond to ensure your customers had the very best service and left the shop with smiles on their faces. Our deepest condolences to your family. You will live on fondly in our memories. Rest well dear Joe.

Joe, met you a long time ago at Harmoney meats and then working together at Island Bay Butchery for 10 years. You were a great person to work with and always willing to go the extra mile for your customers. Your volunteer work with the Soup Kitchen was very inspiring. Will miss meeting up with you at your garage for a quiet beer. A true friend who will be sadly missed. May God welcome you with open arms to your new home. Love Terry McKee

Remembering you Joe with fond memories of all the lovely time we had together. First meeting you in our early twenties when my Dad encouraged you and Doug to join the United Ancient Order of Druids.
Our friendship was very special and you became like one of our family, attending many parties, bbqs and even being the MC at Rachel and Michael's wedding, coming to Brisbane when Linda got married, and all our special birthdays. I will miss your stories, you will forever be in my thoughts.
RIP Dear Friend. Janine

Joe, we met you in 1974 when you worked in Munns General Store in Constable Street Newton and we lived in Hiropi Street just opposite.
We were flatting, waiting for our house to be built in Southgate Island Bay.
You told me about the United Ancient Order of Druids and all the good deeds they do so I became a Lodge Member of Oroua no 5 (and I still am) and worked at Grand Lodge in Woodward Street. I moved on to the Wellington City Mission and you were always trying to get me to play Lawn Bowls in Island Bay but I was an avid Tenpin Bowler so it wasn't until I retired from that & work that we spoke about the Lawn Bowls & you told me how to join and as they say, the rest is History.
I will miss your friendship & laughter Joe
