Hazel SMITH Obituary
Peacefully at Poneke House on March 1, 2026, aged 89. Beloved wife of the late James Daniel.
Loving Mum and Mother-in-Law of: Kathleen & Roland, Margaret & Greg, Maureen & Grahame, James & Camille, Mary & Keith, Geraldine & Grant, Ellen, Patrick & Stephanie and Michael & Connie. Loved Grandma to 19 and Great-Grandma to 11. Special thanks to Poneke House for their loving care of our precious Mum. In lieu of flowers donations to Wellington Children's Hospital would be appreciated. To celebrate her life a service will be held at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 3 Childers Terrace, Kilbirnie, on Friday, 6 March, at 11am, followed by Interment at Whenua Tapu Cemetery. Hazel and Jimmy were very much part of the 6 pm Mass at St John's every Saturday night. Hazel and I did library duty together at St Ben's. God bless and love to you all.
