Ian and I were work chums at J. Inglis Wright Advertising 1964 - 1967. Boy, did we have some fun, a whole bunch of us young guys. I remember Lynda from that time. She was lovely and she and Ian were always going to be with each other. We lost touch and saw Ian just one time for about ten minutes at an industral safety company in Lower Hutt where he worked. That was maybe 1985.
We were never to see each other again.
So now here we are but Ian is gone and I never got to say goodbye.
All that remains of our time as young friends is to say to Lynda how saddened I am at Ian's passing and my warmest feelings of commiseration to Lynda and his family and friends.

Just heard about the tragic passing of Ian. What wonderful memories I have. First met Ian at round table many years ago and appreciated all he did for the community.
He had a wonderful sense of humour and will be sorely missed. Many fantastic moments including the Father Xmas sleigh and our secret handshake which always made both of us laugh.
You and your family are in our thoughts Lynda. So sad.

Condolences to Lynda, Nick, Greg & Sandy. I have many fond memories of catching up with you all in years gone by but will never forget Ian's smile, laugh and very gentle way of being. A true gentleman, much as I remember his Dad Uncle Tom.
Much love Judith, Jo, Donna
