Ivan GIBSON Obituary
On September 18, 2021 peacefully at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village; aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of Valerie (Val). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Craig & Gaynor, Bronwyn (Bronnie) & Pete, Andi & Geof. Much loved grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service or made online www.cancer.org.nz. Special thanks to the hospital staff of Shona McFarlane for their loving care. Due to current limitations, a service for Gibby will be held in Cornwall Manor, Cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 2.00pm for family and close friends; followed by private cremation. All messages to "the Gibson family", c/- P.O. Box 30-127, Lower Hutt.

Dearest Val
Sending you our heartfelt love. So glad that we got to spend some special times with Ivan and yourself, particularly at the Eggers reunion in Nelson in 2013 when I found Ivan, the cousin I didn't know I had! You were so welcoming and both Pam and I are so grateful that we got to know you both and some of the mysteries of our family. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
