Janet MORRIS Obituary

Peacefully on 13th November 2025, aged 86 years. Beloved wife of Barrie Morris and wonderful mother and mother-in-law to Shane, Simon & Nicola, Sarah & Peter. Caring and proud Nona to Claudia, Mia, Ariana, Stella-Rae and Carlos Te Ikanui. A special thanks to the staff at Rita Angus Rest Home for their gentle care. A celebration of Jan's life will be held at The Pines, 50 The Esplanade, Houghton Valley, Wellington, on Thursday, 20th November at 2.00pm. Moe mai rā

Jan and I met at Feldenkreis class. She was always good company. She often spoke of her love for her family and her late husband. The last time I saw her, she was her usual gracious self. Nothing defeated her. There is a line in Dante's Divine Comedy which reminds me of her - 'Pure and ready to ascend to the stars'. Farewell, dear Jan. My sympathy to the family. Rosemary
