Joan GILBERT Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Hutt Hospital on 17 December 2025, aged 98 years. Loved wife of the late David; dearly loved mother of Anne and Mary; loved granny of Tom, Edward and Sarah; and loved great-granny of Caitlin, Madison, Jaxson and Bodhi-Mae. Loved sister of Derek and loved by her nieces and nephews.
Forever loved and always in our hearts.
In accordance with Joan's wishes, a direct cremation has been held and the family will hold a celebration of her life during February, in Canterbury. Messages may be addressed to: The Gilbert family, 18 Sutherland Crescent, Wellington 6023.

Dear Anne and Mary
Your mum loved her garden and was a wonderful neighbour to us in Wiltshire Court.
She was always there for good advice and also a fun loving lady.

So sorry to read of the passing of Joan, David and Joan lived behind us in West Belt and they were fabulous neighbours, and it was Joan who introduced me to bridge and the very 1st time I got top I was playing with her. Lovely memories
