Just discovered that John died. He was a warm and intelligent man whom Nancy and I met on a trip to New Zealand many years ago. Over the years we corresponded at Christmas time. John's letters were always enthusiastic and full of his latest adventures. Condolences to Molly and the family.

I was taught briefly by Dr Andreae at UC in 1980. He was a great teacher. He radiated intelligence and kindness. Rest in peace.

I will add my condolences for John Andrea.
He was indeed the AI Pioneer of NZ.
He was a modest person and an inspirational scientist.
We will remember him and his legacy.
