John BROPHY Obituary

On November 15, 2024 peacefully at Summerset Kelvin House, Lower Hutt, surrounded by family; aged 93 years. Beloved husband of Marie for over 63 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Geraldine & Ross, Philip & Jane, Marie & Harry, Paul, Angela, Joseph & Cushla. Proud Grandad of Thomas, Zoe, Brigid, Beatrice, Johnny, Olivia, Erin, Sophie, Elizabeth, Michael, Sam, Lauren, and Great-Grandad of Piata, Archie, Emery and Jett. Special thanks to the staff Te Omanga Hospice and Kelvin House for their wonderful care. Requiem Mass for John will be held in St Joseph's Catholic Church, 1 Pine Ave, Upper Hutt on Thursday, 21 November 2024, at 11.00am, followed by interment at Akatarawa Cemetery. Rosary will be recited in Church on Wednesday evening prior to Mass at 6.00pm. Messages may be sent to "The Brophy Family", c/- PO Box 30-127, Lower Hutt 5010.

His strong true voice was always a blessing as he sang with joy at Mass.
