Dearest Wendy....I'm just reading this now. I'm at a lost what to say. He was such a dear man. Fiesty but dear!!!

So glad that we were able to spend time with the both of you on our visit to NZ in 2017.

He will be greatly missed by all.

My next pint will be in his honor. But since it's to John...I'll have 2 or 3

Big hugs to you

Wendy and family, my deepest sympathies. So many wonderful memories of my dear Irish John. Copious bottles of red wine on the train home, arguing over quiz questions, turning up dressed as Luigi at my 40th and sharing recipes. He will be greatly missed.

I met John in the early '80 when, fresh from Italy, I was working at BT in NY and I was given the task to take over a software that John had written in 1982 for a project. Needless to say that John was not only of great help, but with his innate irony, contagious happiness, great sense of humor and proven professional skills, made my job so easy and enjoyable. It was the start of long lasting friendship that lasted over the years and across continents. Wendy and family there are no words that can replace John, but, if of any comfort, please be sure that he set an example for us all and we will always keep his memory in our heart until we will meet again. Love. Rosa and Carmine Manfredi

I was so sad to hear of John's passing. I have fond memories of working with him at the Animal Health Board/OSPRI - he was such a lively personality and always had a great story to tell. Sending my heartfelt condolences to John's family and loved ones.

I met John at Bankers Trust in London. I've so many memories of working and hanging out with John. He was very talented, work-wise, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. He had a manner of speaking - both in terms of what he said combined with his accent - that drew me in almost immediately. John was both gentle and a force of nature, if that can be believed.

There were times when John & I were kindred spirits based on some of the mutual work-challenges we faced and with which we commiserated. He could be poignant and hilarious almost at the same time.

The world is poorer without him. My wife & I send our deepest sympathies to Wendy family.

Even though I wasn´t in touch with John after working with him at Bankers Trust in London, I can remember so clearly his antics, happy nature & hear him chatting in my head with his distinctive accent.

I am so sad to hear of his loss - a life taken too soon. My heartfelt condolences to Wendy & his wider family.

I first met John working at S&F in the city of London in late 70s and later worked with him at BT where we worked (and played) together for many years. He was such a lovely guy and a wonderful character and I was devastated to hear the awful news of his untimely death. RIP John - you will be missed.

This is terrible news. John was a terrific person who I had the pleasure of working with in London, Frankfurt and New York. He epitomized the expression "Work hard, play hard".
I first met John in London in the early eighties when working for BT. At that time there were many `big personalities´ of which John was one, contributing to the daily banter and humour.
What John did not have in stature he made up for with his heart. A top bloke who we will all miss.

Dear John

I´ll miss our after-work catch-ups, John - those Chats about life, work, and whatever nonsense happened that day.
I´ll miss the laughs we shared even more

Rest easy, mate.

Thinking of the Casey Family at this time
