John ROWE Obituary
Loved former husband of the late Glenys. Loved father and father-in-law of Mike and Cath Rowe-Penny, Steve and Kirsty, Stuart; and Rebecca Lord. A loved grandfather, brother-in-law and friend to many. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Kahukura Palliative Care Service, would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for John will be held in St Mark's Anglican Church, Cnr High Street South and Richmond Road, Carterton, on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 at 10.30am, followed by burial at the Martinborough Lawn Cemetery. Dear Johnny our mad and crazed and driven musical creater.
The man who pulled lost musical souls together and gave them a platform on which to preform.
I give thanks with gratitude for the energy and shared desire to honour this privilege space.
I loved being there with you, Johnny, Steve, Julie, Jackie, Jacob Merlene,Eral.
The support of all our families and friends and greater community.
Rest in peace, and never stop playing

Very sorry to learn of Johnny's passing. I have many fond memories of singing in his band JNX in the 2000s, with some great friendships formed, and lots of opportunities for cool gigs, including one at Rimutaka Prison. My sincere condolences to his family and the others I was in JNX with. Very sad news. Johnny was a very dedicated musician.

My sincere condolences to John's family - I have fond memories of Johnny's band, Roadsterz, playing at The Top Pub in Greytown during my tenure there in early part of this century.
