John WHALAN Obituary
Peacefully passed away on Friday 7 June 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Eileen (dec), father and father-in-law of Trish and Brian, Karen and William, and Joanne. Beloved Pop to Jack, George, Molly, William and Charlie. Many thanks to the staff at Summerset on the Landing for the care and kindness shown to Dad in his last days. A Memorial Service for John will be held at Summerset Aotea (Lower Lounge), 15 Aotea Drive, Aotea, Porirua, on Friday 14 June, commencing at 1.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and can be made online at www.wfa.org.nz

Dear Trish, Karen & Jo.& Families.
So sad to here of John passing, a special brother-in-law, and uncle, well loved by us all. We will miss him greatly.

I was very sorry to read of John's death. My sincere sympathy to Trish, Karen and Joanne, and all the family in their loss. I have very fond memories of Eileen since our SHC days in the 50s - and John, since their marriage. I know Eileen will have been there to greet John with her lovely smile and arms outstretched and they will be so happy to be together again. Hang on to those happy family memories. RIP John.
