Son of Jessie & Eldred (Pat), brother of the late Stan, husband of the late Dawn, father of Shelley Neil & Chris Wheatley, beloved Grandad of Josh Martyn .. & well known character of Miramar .. the 'soft toy man' with the car shop and coffee break books.
Passed peacefully at Poneke House on 26th December, 2025. A celebration of his life will take place at Miramar Salvation Army Hall 1pm on Thursday 8th January, 2026. Any messages and rsvps would be helpful to receive by email at [email protected]

John will be missed. He brought a lot of sunshine into peoples lives and had a lot of stories to share with those he met. His desire to support children through his mobile op shop was so admirable and people in the community thoroughly loved stopping for a chat with him. So great he lived so long and impacted so many lives. Love from your daughter in law - Andrea
