Joy OBORN Obituary

On 12 September 2025 peacefully at Hutt Hospital, Lower Hutt, aged 96. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Leslie for 62 years. Cherished mother of Susan & Ahmed Ali, Lynne & Allan Philp, Alison Oborn, and David & Theresa. Beloved Nana of Leslie & Jinny; Richard, Chris, Andrew, Jayne & Daniel; Jilinda, Rebekah, Hazel, Letitia, Simeon & Rosemaire (deceased); and Harry, and her 15 great-grandchildren. Loved daughter to the late Harry and Hazel Wright of Tirau. The service will be livestreamed with access available on Joy's online profile via the website below. Messages to the family may also be made via her profile. A service to celebrate Joy's life will be held at Waiwhetu Uniting Church Trafalgar Street, Lower Hutt, on Monday, 22 September 2025, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.
