Joy was a life time friend the sort of friend that not many can aspire to apart from having a beautiful nature she was also very attractive. I first met Joy when she was 15 years of age from that day on she was a part of my life, I could not have ask for a more lovely friend.

What a shock to find Joy has died. We worked together many years ago before she married Philip but she was very much in love with him. We ran around the Wellington waterfront to Oriental Bay and back to work in our lunch break. A warm and sunny person.

Joy and I worked closely together for several years and through me she met Phillip and the rest is history.
A lovely woman in every respect and I am sorry I haven´t been close to her in recent years.
She was always in my thoughts. She will be very much missed.

I was so sad to hear of Joy's death. I used to live next door to her parents in Brooklyn, and would often catch up with Joy and baby Samuel. My son was the same age as Sam. Joy and I would often bump into each other and have a great catch up - in the Justice Building, at the Penthouse, watching soccer matches. She was so warm and loving, so full of positivity and such fun! Joy lived up to her name and the world is a better place for having Joy in it. Wishing strength to Sam and friends and family as they come to terms with Joy's loss

Joy was a dynamic member of our Sunday walking group. She was such fun, with a cheeky (and sometimes wicked) sense of humour. She introduced me to yoga which I have really enjoyed. She was brave and resilient when she was undergoing treatment. We will miss her companionship greatly. With many thoughts to Sam and her family members.,Helen Carter

I was part of Joy's life through her volunteering role at Victim Support that she began about 2 years ago. Joy was passionate about supporting people and took it very seriously, she made a difference to many people. Personally I always enjoyed the humor, cheekiness and beautiful heart! She always had a big smile and warm embrace for me whenever I saw her. She will be dearly missed by her VS family. All my thoughts are with her family.
