I miss Ken at morning tea every Saturday in Parkwood Retirement Village. As a friend, I used to go to his place whenever there was a netball or rugby or tennis event. He had Sky and was an expert on all those sports.
When I visited him in the Lodge recently he was pondering whether his life had been any use to anyone. Well I said, you have been a walking example of a person who values others, never puts them down and is friendly, kind and helpful. Isn't that enough? You were a role model for thousands. At his 90th it was so clear that his family knew that and loved him for it.
