Passed away peacefully on 23 September 2024 at Lower Hutt Hospital, aged 61 years. Dearly loved son of Hemi (Kare) (dec) and Urutahua (Kitty) Gilbert. Loved father of Akevai, and koro to Josiah, Lesley, Justin and Hamiora. Loved brother of Tania and Raymond Kennedy, Marama Gilbert, Heta and Belinda Gilbert. Loved uncle to all his nephews and nieces. A service for Kingi will be held at Raukawa Marae, Otaki, on Friday 27 September at 11.00am, followed by burial at Rangiatea Church, Otaki.
