Coming from the UK originally , Barry made me an Honorary Pom .We have known for Barry and Sharon for 50 years we naturally came in contact with their children particularly with Reece who was the same age as my twin boys.
I personally followed Barry and Reece careers with interest.

Resting now in Eternal Light
Oh, our sweet Lily... only eighteen.
A blossom just beginning to bloom,
Taken from this world far too soon,
Yet somehow, you´ve left it brighter,
Full of your colour, your laughter, your light.
I still see you,
That soft smile lighting up the classroom,
Your eyes - so full of wonder,
So much life in them, so much grace.
You´d arrive each day,
Your books bursting with colour,
Pages that danced with your joy,
With your beautiful, creative soul.
Your kindness never waited to be asked,
It was just who you were.
Helping the little ones, laughing in the corridors,
Or giving that knowing smirk when a moment was funny
But too quiet to laugh out loud.
I was so blessed to be your teacher,
And my mum-blessed too, to teach you before me.
You´d laugh and say,
"The two Ms. Nikolao´s - one is younger,
And the other one´s more beautiful."
You brought joy with every word,
And lit up two generations of hearts.
You carried a quiet confidence,
A strength that didn´t need to shout.
You led with gentleness-
As Head Girl of St Claudine´s,
You showed us all how grace can be powerful,
And kindness, unstoppable.
Now Heaven calls you home.
God rings His bell-
Not in farewell, but in welcome.
He waits at the gates of eternity
To place you gently in His divine classroom.
Your spirit will paint the skies
With the colours of Heaven,
Just as you once coloured every corner of our lives.
You were love.
You are love.
And you are so deeply, endlessly loved.
Watch over your beautiful mother, Lily,
She will ache for you every day.
She will look to the stars for your wings
And feel your embrace in every breeze.
Your father, your brother-
They will carry your name

Lily, you were showered with love even before you were born. I remember your Nan being so excited to hear you were on the way, & she & your Pop went the extra mile, literally, to be with you after your birth. I've never seen so much aroha shown to family as shown by the Casleys...your short but perfect & beautiful life received boundless love, & your beautiful soul will shine bright in their hearts & minds forever.
