It was a pleasure to work with Luke at Stats NZ. He knew so many people. Wherever we travelled together he would meet people he knew. He was always happy to chat. I loved hearing his stories of his own history. He was also a great raconteur of purakau. Fascinating stories.
He was so proud of his whanau.

May all Luke´s whanau be supported and consoled by the love of those he supported and mentored.
Our son Alex and his wife Nina and the children shared with us the fun and friendship he brought to them.
