My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and students of Margaret Craig. She touched many lives. I have many memories from Featherston Primary School. Bruce and I had attended in the late 70s and early 80s. She was a kind, caring and talented teacher who had a great love for music. Rarely would you see her casually dressed and seldom without her make up done. May you all cherish the memories and celebrate her life. Much love and respect. Andrew

To all of Margaret's family.
I send my love & lovely memories of your Mum & Grandmother.
Margaret was my mentor teacher at Greytown School - back in 1992. It was the best time - it was only my 3rd training section - and Margaret just let me take the lead in the afternoons as she was taking / putting together the school production at the time. So from 1992 being a trainee student - I then in 2001 started working with Margaret at Greytown School. For many years I was Margaret's release teacher while her and Bruce did their travels overseas - I then did a job share job with Margaret later on - the year I had my daughter.
My nephews were taught my Mrs Craig and one of my favourite memories was Levi asking: What does it mean the pet of the teacher? I said: Oh - you mean the teacher's pet? - He said his friends were teasing him that he was Mrs Craig's teacher's pet =) I was stoked for him ;) And - him & Margaret shared the same birthday.
I enjoyed social times with Margaret both through school and with her friends Ruth & Laurie. Special times - tucked away in my heart.
Margaret was an inspiration for me - inspired in her future thinking - sorting us out at school with the INTRA-net --- she sure was a true goer.
While working with Margaret I felt as though I knew you all - as she often told me about what her children were doing - and then along came the grandchildren - so proud!
Rest in love Margaret as you so deserve - I'm privileged to (only this year) - to be back working in your old classroom at Greytown School (Room 7) - the room I trained and taught with you. When I heard about your passing - I walked into the classroom during the school holidays - and I cried. Remembering all that you had done for our school.
Thank you!
To you all - much love.

Dear Margaret,
Greetings from Kieran, Alicia and myself. Our thoughts are with you, and with them come many memories of our wonderful Margaret/ Mrs Craig. You have inspired and encouraged so many people in your life Margaret, including the three of us!
I often think of all the adventures that you and Bruce had, that you shared with us all. Of the travelling you both did and the sights you saw.
I think of the way you embraced any new learnings that would enhance your teaching, and especially technology for sake of Greytown school, staff and pupils. And of your amazing success with the school choir.
You are a wonderful person Margaret, and it has certainly been my privilege to know you.
Fear not the coming days, because you know Bruce will be waiting for you.
Sent with much love and admiration to my dear Margaret.
