Peacefully at Metlifecare Coastal Villas, Paraparaumu, on Wednesday, 8th December 2021. In her 102nd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Donald (Don) MacLachlan (former Rector of Otago Boys High School). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Johan and John, Fiona and Murray, Donald and Mayhaka; devoted grandmother to Amy, James, Hannah and Todd, Hamish and Sally, Fraser, and Max; and great-grandmother to Emily and Joshua. Sincere thanks to the Staff at Metlifecare Coastal Villas Care Centre for their love and support. A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu, at 1.00pm, on Monday, 8th December 2021, to be followed by burial at Awa Tapu Cemetery, Valley Road, Paraparaumu. In accordance with the family's wishes, Margaret's funeral will be open to vaccinated people only and certificates must be shown upon arrival at the venue.
