I recall many memories as a young girl visiting Mrs Millar either at her home in Elsdon, the caravan park in Kapiti, Sunday school at the little blue church in Cannons Creek. However the memory my husband Shane & I are most greatful for is, Mrs Millar made our wedding cake.
Rest in Peace Mavies & thankyou & your family for being part of my life when I was growing up.
God Bless you all.

Greetings in Jesus name..Yes, I remember Mavis for her love dedication to the Lord and to people. My late Dad, Jim Broome, had a shop in Cannons Creek almost opposite that first Hall...Both Mavis and Norm laid sound foundations for the work of The Salvation Army Porirua Corps. I soldiered then at Tawa Corps at that time. Another legacy lives on. Acts 20 Verse 32. Sorry unable to be there. Plan to watch Livestream..Prayers to all the family. David ( attending Palmerston North Corps ).
