On 23rd October 2025, at Waikanae Lodge, formerly of Miramar & Kapiti. Peacefully and surrounded by family, aged 95. Dearly loved by her large extended family - Ian, Geraldine & Mike, Bernadette, Rob & Anne, Ginny & Murray, Marie, Jaqs, Steve & Lindy, Dahna, David & Tanya, Mike, Katie, Libby, Maddie, Angela, Gregory, Naomi, Anthony, Joseph, Hannah, Max, Claudia, Jack, Adie, Sophie, Lily, Ella, Josh and her many great-grandchildren. Sister of Kate and the late Eileen, Gerald & Patrick, sister-in-law of Judith, Dorita & Joan and cousin of Delta. Loved aunt of her many nieces and nephews. Mercia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Mercia's life will be celebrated on Wednesday 29th October at 11.00am with a Requiem Mass at Our Lady of Kapiti Church, 1 Presentation Way, Paraparaumu. The service will be followed by a private cremation. Grateful thanks to the wonderful staff of Waikanae Lodge for their loving care of our mum. Their kindness and attention to mum and our family were exceptional.
