It's with great sadness and admiration that after a long hard and courageously fought illness we announce the passing of the much loved, adored and cherished son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Husband of the late Beverley Jones, Dad of Brett Jones & Philip Haycock, Selina & Steven Becker, Deidre Jones & Fabian Barlow. Grandfather to Dylan, Grace and Oscar, Zach and Blake. Son of the late Arthur and Monica Jones. Brother of Pamela and David Oughton, Jocelyn and the late Paul Delaney and families.

A man with a huge heart who touched the lives of everyone he met.
He will be greatly missed by all.

Sincere thanks to all the medical professionals, carer's and friends for their wonderful support and care of Michael. In lieu of flowers donations to the Wellington Free ambulance can be made at https://www.wfa.org.nz/donate A funeral service for Michael will be held at the Seatoun Football Club, Hector Street (of which he was the President and a life member) on Friday 7th March 2025 at 1:00pm, thereafter private cremation.

Very sad to hear of Mike's passing. As a Seatoun junior I remember watching Mike play in the 1970's,then in later years he coached our Seatoun Central League team for a couple of seasons in the 1980's.He was a talented player,very supportive coach and the ultimate club man.

Very sad to hear of Mike's passing. Would have attended on Friday but I will be overseas. We were neighbours in Seatoun and enjoyed soccer, good parties and "Sunday get to gethers " in those early years. Mike was a gifted soccer player. Rest in peace Mike.

I was blessed to have Mike as my soccer coach at Seatoun in the 60s, in fact we won the competition one year, he was a good guy and treated us young guys well, Mike you will be missed by many, sincere condolences to the Jones family. RIP Mike
