To all of Murray's family
I was brought up in Gonville during that golden period of hockey families in the suburb. Eventually, Murray returned to Wanganui and was a great French teacher for me at his old school, Wanganui Tech/ Boys College. He chartered a wonderful career and life course.

Phyllis and Geoff Henry would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to Effie and all Murray's extended family. We were school mates in the 1950's and our "class of "56" have kept in touch and held occasional reunions (of which Murray was one of the prime organisers.

I'm sorry to see this. Mr Lints was my third-form English and maths teacher at Tararua College, Pahiatua, in 1964.
I think it would be fair to say we were better at English than at maths.
My parents engaged him to tutor me privately in the fourth form in French. I was a year too late and I never fully got the hang of it. He was a good bloke and my condolence to his family.
