Since reading of Owens passing many great memories poured back. Although contact was lost a few decades ago great times were had between Tech days and when I left the Hutt. Game for any challenge he once agreed to test "pilot" a para-kite behind my boat. Luckily the crash happened before leaving the ground. Plenty of laughter was had when Owen was about.
Condolences to family and friends. RIP Owen.

Owen was a master craftsman. When I asked for his help repairing a wood-burner flue, he picked me up, we shot down to Petone and picked up the raw materials, and within three hours a flue as good as new stood there. And there he is. A good man gone too soon.
