Paley DOWNS

Of Greytown, formerly Upper Hutt. On 3rd February 2026, peacefully in the presence of family, after a long illness. Aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of Lynette for 60 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Warwick and Kelly (California), Julian and Fiona (Greytown). Loved Grandad of Vianne and Keiran. Loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. A special thanks to the Kahukura Palliative Care team, Greytown Medical, Carter Court, and the District and Community nurses who have cared for Paley over the last 6 months. In lieu of flowers a donation to 'Hospice Wairarapa' would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for Paley will be held in St Luke's Anglican Church, Cnr Church and Main Streets, Greytown, on Monday 16th February 2026 at 11.00am, followed by burial at the Akatarawa Lawn Cemetery.
