Patrick GILDEA Obituary

Passed away peacefully after a short illness, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, aged 94 years. Dearly loved Husband of Peggie, and loved Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. All messages to the Gildea family, C/o 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North 4414. A service for Paddy will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church, 69 Ruahine Street, Palmerston North, on Friday 19 September 2025 at 11.00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arohanui Hospice.

Paddy was one of the first people I met when I returned to PN. We played indoor bowls together for years and held up the struggling St Pats club.
I will miss his cheerful smile and hand on the shoulder after Friday mass.

I knew Paddy not overly well but any time with this man who was always courteous and welcoming and kind with a good sense of humour ,was easy and fun. God bless his family and I´m sure his new residence is Grand
