Paul although restricted socially was a good person. He worked most of his life as a panel beater and due to his good reputation became well known for his skills. During the 1970s he moved to Levin and soon found a job as a panel beater . He proved his worth with the company, and was trusted with the weekend tow truck duties which he found most enjoyable and often talked about the call outs and the consequences of them. I remember the day that with a beaming smile he introduced Raewynne to me. They married and soon after moved to Gisborne. Eventually they settled in Havelock North where over time they developed a wonderful garden. He took pride in showing it off to visitors. I think he finally found peace and there is no doubt his happiest days were spent with Raewynne.
