Peter BAILLIE Obituary

Died peacefully on Wednesday 18 June 2025, at Te Hopai Rest Home, aged 91 years. Beloved husband of Lois. Loving and loved father and father-in-law of Donald and Anastasia, and Ian. Devoted and much loved grandfather of Ray and Daniel, and their mother Moran, and honorary grandfather of Brooke and Adam. Loved and esteemed by the whole world! Special thanks to the staff of Te Hopai Rest Home for their outstanding care and support of Peter. Messages to the Baillie family may be posted C/- PO Box 14336, Kilbirnie 6241, or left in Peter's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz A private celebration of his amazing life will be held at a later date.

I remember Peter & Will Carmichael singing a Duet in St Giles Church ,Kilbirnie, and the windows rattled. Bless you for sharing your talent and music with us.

Hello Lois,
I have just seen Peter's death notice please accept my deepest sympathy on his passing. It's now over 30 years since I left VUW to go to Otago but I remember you both very clearly .Mary and I now live in Akd and travel extensively ,perhaps you would be interested to know that we always spend Sept in Vienna for the 1st month of the new opera season ,have been doing this since 2008 .Opera aside, Vienna is our favourite city and we' ve been to a large number in various places of the world
All the very best even though this is a sad time for you and your family
