Peter KEAST Obituary

On 11 February 2026 at Wellington Regional Hospital. Dearly loved husband of Muriel. Much loved dad of Robert and Denise, Sue, Geoff and Jess, Graeme and Mel, Linda and Raymond, and Colin. Loved grandad of Angela and Jenna, Jason and Ryan, Michael, Sarah and Anthony, Thomas and Emma, Shannon, Jordyn and Holly; and a cherished greatâ??grandad. Peter's funeral service will be held in Gee & Hickton's Guardian Chapel, 6 Norrie Street, Porirua, on Friday 20 February 2026 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Cancer Society, Wellington, or left in the chapel foyer.

I am Michaels father and have met Peter on many occasions over the past 35 odd years. He was always a pleasure to converse with and generous in nature. Such a lovely man. god speed Peter.

Peter was a good friend of my late dad Ken Browne, they were both involved in Titahi Bay scouts and my mum knew Muriel. I know they shared many fun scout camps and ventures
In more recent times I have chatted to Peter on Titahi bay Beach while both out walking, like Peter I'm also a big walker. I was amazed at how independent Peter was into his old age still cutting his hedges wen I walked passed his house close to my parents old house. He was so with it mentally with a good memory. A lovely man. Condolences to his family sorry for your loss

So sad to hear of Peter's passing. He will be a real loss to his family and to his sailing family as well.
Muriel and I were close friends many years ago Peter was always there, a quiet caring and fabulous friend.
My thoughts with Robert, Graeme, Linda, Geoff, Sue and Colin and their families.
The last time I saw Peter was before I moved north. He always looked so fit and well and brings a salutary message that there is a final day for us all.
Rest in Peace my dear friend. Give Muriel a hug from me.
