Thank you Phil for your presence in our lives. Growing up in Wakefield I remember your yearly visits to stay at Clifford Road. Visiting Napier with mum and dad to see Chris at Greenmeadows, we had the added bonus of catching up with you as well.
When Robert and I came to Wellington you were here by then as well. You were a huge presence in our lives - another uncle for our sons and Robert was very greatful that you taught him how to prune the roses. We came to visit you every year in Christchurch at Christmas. Rest in eternal peace dear friend.

I met Brother Gerard at St Mary´s Seminary in 1960 where he was humbling
serving the needs of the
seminary as a Marist lay
brother.
We have been friends ever since. He was a humble, Godly man. It has been a privilege to have to have known him over the years.

He was pivotal in the formation of Joshua Wellington. Attempts were made to start it up in the 1990s without success. In the early 2000s, he spearheaded a move to make it happen. Finally, the first official fellowship meeting took place on 20th February 2003. Thanks be to God for his prayerful perseverance.

I met Philip only once and that would have been about 18 years ago in Sydney.
We spent over an hour discussing the family, those I knew and those I never met. In the following years through his connections, Philip and another female family member whos' name I cannot find, provided a mountain of information to add to the Family Tree. His dedication to our family will be missed.
