Ramsay NEWTON Obituary

Of Waikanae. Peacefully on Friday 12 September 2025, aged 90 years. Very much loved husband of Astrid. Loved father of Alaistair, Jacqui, and Rachel, and step-father of Warren, and Debbie, and family, and grandfather of Nora. Loved also by Astrid's family. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wellington Hospital who cared for Ramsay. A private farewell and cremation will be held on Friday 19th September.

Condolences to the family of Ramsay.
Astrid was my 'Auntie' (my fathers cousin) and my wife Raewyn and I visited them often when we travelled to Wellington. We kept in contact with Ramsay after Astrid passed. He was a great husband and support to Astrid and we enjoyed catching up with him in Waikanae. Ramsay was a genuine and likeable man and we will miss him.
