Ravi BASTIAN Obituary
(Canute Malcolm Ravindran):
Passed away unexpectedly on 3 November 2020. Beloved husband of Prema. Adored father of Roshan & Christina. Doting Grandpa of Savannah. A service for Ravi will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Monday, 9 November 2020 at 10.30am, followed by private cremation.

So sad to hear of the passing of my good old friend Ravi.
I met Ravi in Lusaka, Zambia in 1975 and struck up a friendship that has lasted all this time. Ravi was always a good and helpful friend through good times and bad and was always willing to put out a helping hand.
As time went by, we found ourselves living in adjoining countries and with the advent of WhatsApp were in daily contact exchanging our views on events of mutual interest. Now Ravi is no more and I will really miss the good-humoured back and forth contact we had every day.
I cherish the memories of the experiences we had together in Africa and of our friendship. We were both far away from our families and it was the friendship of friends like Ravi that kept us going.
May you rest in peace, my friend. We will miss you.
