Raymond BYRNE Obituary

On 28 October 2025, peacefully surrounded by family at Te Omanga Hospice, aged 81 years. Best friend and husband of Joan. Much-loved and supportive dad of Paul and Hannah, Chris and Jane, Matt and Lee'Arne, and Ant. Generous and caring grandad of Charlie and Henry, Patrick and Zoe, Kenzee, Louie and Margot. Brother of Denise and Trish. Loved uncle and cousin of many. In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Omanga Hospice would be appreciated. Special thanks to the hospice staff, and friends for all their support and care. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 60 Knights Road, Lower Hutt, on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, at 11.00am, followed by interment at Taita Cemetery. Joan so very sorry to learn of Rays passing. When we shared time in the Gray Hams at Bob Scott Village he was a great fun and so enthusiastic and was a fantastic pirate.He will be missed.
