A Dear friend and mentor in the Charismatic movement many years ago here in Porirua at Holy Family Church. A soft spoken man of God but a strength and being a friend to all...you gave me courage and support in hard times and in good times just being there with the other Priests was a tremendous encouragement...rest in peace (shalom) from Above...and to the family prayers and love, light and His peace be with you all...Blessings and Love from me and my family...Lyn D Cole

Dear Theresa, Am so saddened by the news of Rex's passing. He was so special to our family for many years, a gifted man full of love for his fellow man, a loved brother to Graham and friend to all the boys. Sorry we were unable to attend his funeral. Much love to all your family. Barbara.

Dear Theresa,
I am sorry I could not be at Rex's service. I remember him with fondness, from Kopua, distant learning days, and those times I saw you either around town, or during diocesan events.
I feel thankful for Rex's kindness and compassion, and for the wisdom that he shared. It was a blessing to have known him. Remembering you and your loved one always,
Aroha nui

Dear Theresa and family,
Sincere sympathy in the loss of Rex - a truly humble and gentle man. My first thought on hearing of Rex's death was that I must tell Trish Hanaray forgetting that she would have been up there ready to welcome Rex. I know she greatly loved you both. Love and prayers, Sr Anne Phibbs

Dear Rex
I remember you as a very humble and gentle man who my parents held in very high regard. I remember attending hui at Te Rau Aroha and was priviledged to attend prayer and reflection with you. You will be a huge loss to the Catholic Communities in particular the Maori Catholic Communities who you served and shared so much with. Prayers and much love to Theresa & whanau. Moe pai atua pononga whakaiti. Ma te atua koe, e manaaki, e tiaki, i nga wa katoa.

Sending my condolences and Aroha to Mr Begley family. We all have those teachers who left lasting impressions. Mr Begley was one of them. For me he really made a difference to those final years of high school. A fantastic teacher & person. Thank you Mr Begley. Rest in love.

I have not met you Theresa ....but the last time I was speaking with Rex (at my mother's (Freda Lawrence ) funeral he spoke so lovingly about you.
Rex was a big influence in my early life. When I was 14 years old he helped me buy my first guitar and taught me my first guitar chords. It was his sensitive feeling compassionate Human-ness that touched me and affected me so deeply and has always stayed with me.
I am so happy he had a wonderful loving happy life with You

Dear Theresa - I am in Brisbane and do not have your private email address with me. I have just found out that your beloved Rex has passed away. I didnt know him as well as I know you - your personality was big enough for both of you, but I did know he was a gentle, kind loving man who lived an honest and christian life. You will miss him dearly. My love and prayers to you and I hope we catch up soon - Kathy
