In 1982 Graham invited my small company to exhibit Commercial and Industrial Electric Heating Equipment in the Timaru showroom of the South Canterbury Electric Power Board

When we shared backgrounds, we found that both of us had worked in different but similar Pacific Islands for extended periods. That common background, began an association of mutual trust that has now, very sadly, ended.

Grahams forward thinking and detailed practical, theoretical, and commercial knowledge of almost any subject in the NZ Electrical Industry, led him to become Director the Electrical Development Association of NZ , and in that role, Graham was widely known and respected at all levels of the NZ Electrical Industry.

In short time Graham effectively used his position to very significantly advance growth of communication, co-operation and business between commercial and manufacturing electrical companies, and Electrical Distribution Organizations throughout NZ, which continues to thrive for mutual benefit.

Graham was a natural and expert communicator whose sincerely worded communications created almost instant enthusiasm from listeners of all walks of life.

Graham was a tireless person with a down to earth personality who always had time to share and knowledge and advice , (often with a special sense of humor that brought more than a smile, !! or a calmness that could not be ignored)

It has been my privilege to have known Graham for more than 43 years. He was one of a kind, and will be remembered by me and those who knew him as an absolutely genuine, sincere and highly knowledgeable and thoroughly respected person, who will be greatly missed, but not likely to be forgotten.

My sincere condolences to Patricia and Grahams family.

Early memories of Grahams long association with Timaru MED and wider Distribution Industry
The aptly named Worthingstore heater in Roly´s house was quite a feat of engineering
