I knew Roger from Karori Baptist Church. We played Dungeons and Dragons and other geeky board games.
I did not always agree with Roger's politics, but he was always respectful and I appreciated his keen intellect. Roger did not get dealt a good hand in the game of life. I always admired his resilience in the face of a quite crippling disability.
Rest in power Roger. Kia kaha, e hoa.

Roger, you were wonderfully nerdy and a welcome part of our gaming fun. We are going to miss you.

Very sad to hear the news just now.
I was a friend of his from our university hostel and architecture school days. He was always up for an interesting conversation, or a geeky game of cards or 'Splendour' etc.
Condolences to everyone who knew him...

My thoughts go to Roger's family. I knew Roger through CAANZ, and enjoyed conversations with him. He was a regular attendee at events. His keen mind, continuous learning ethic and presence at events was enjoyed.we will miss him.

What a blessing to call you friend Roger. You will be missed, especially when we need some computer problem fixed. Until we meet again...

You'll be missed Roger!
You fought well through a life that presented many ongoing difficulties and challenges, and you did all of that with real dignity and grace.
Your under-pinning faith and personal relationship with God was always evident, and even though you had more cause than most to question the hand you were dealt, you lived with optimism, joy, and humour.
It's a real encouragement to know your struggles are now over and that the hope you lived with and for is now a reality (1 Peter 1:3-9).
Much love

A man of faith; strong principles and detail oriented.
People were important to
Roger and he always made time to chat and engage.
Keen mind in face of huge
physical challenges and always
up for a respectful debate.
You will be missed.
My sympathy to family and close friends; church family who journeyed with Roger and knew the genuine caring soul that he was.
