My dear Aunt Rosamond was a highly intelligent, strict but extremely generous lady with a heart of gold. I was her eldest Nephew or My dear Boy as she would often refer to me as.
She and her two sisters were very kind to myself, sisters and our cousins as we grew up - birthdays and Christmas were a real treat. Sadly all 3 of my Father Ralph´s sisters have passed away - gone but never forgotten

Rest in Peace Ros, you were always just a part of the tapestry of my childhood, seeing you at Sunday School at St Mary´s, attending church with your Mother and Con. You taught religious education at my primary school. You were friends with my grandmother with the Victoria´s League and I loved coming along to the talks and gatherings - you were kind to my family always and you were someone we could share our memories with. I am sorry to have missed your funeral.
With our deepest sympathies.

Ros was a delightful, witty person to know through our connection at Taranaki Cathedral. I admired her intellect and integrity and she was always welcoming to my family and I despite a slightly formidable exterior. It was an honour to have known her. Rest in peace.

Dear Ros always cheerful ! Always a welcome. Our link being that David King introduced us at St Mary's 30 + years ago when you first came to New Plymouth and I hadn't been here very long. It was teaching we had in common. We celebrated Christmas with you at Brooklands Road and meals at Mill Road. I have been calling in for a "chat" at Tainui since you settled in there with Con and was always greeted with " How nice to see you". You will be missed by many. Ros was indeed ready to be called by her Lord. Rest in Peace Ros.

I was a Matron at St Marys School,Stratford when Miss Robertshawe first started as Headmistress.I recall she had a habit of humming tunes. As Matrons we sat with her at the meal table. When she began humming 76 Trombones ,I really struggled to control my laughter. But it was just something she always did.RIP with your Lord Miss R.

What a long wonderful life.

Miss Robertshawe, a never to be forgotten, loved teacher at St Mary's Diocesan. She was always ready to help and when Lesley and I indicated an interest in the Greek language, she taught just us two in the evenings. A very special lady. RIP.
