Ruthmary BEACH Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday 16 December 2025, aged 94 years. Much loved wife of Neville (deceased); mother and mother-in-law of Peter (deceased) and Lisa (deceased), David, Andrew and Miriam, Mary and David; grandmother of Lawrence, Nicholas and Freya, Sam, and Oliver and Harry; and great-grandmother of Jack and Liam. Hurdler, Latin teacher, embroidery entrepreneur, Ruthmary rushed at life with all rockets firing. Special thanks to the staff at Duncan Lodge who looked after Ruthmary in her final years. A service to honour Ruthmary's life will be held Saturday 20 December, at the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul (Lady Chapel), cnr Hill and Molesworth Streets, Thorndon, Wellington, at 11.00am. Mrs Beach was my teacher at Queen Margaret College back in the 1970s. She was a dedicated teacher and really cared about her students. I would see her occasionally over the years and she would always stop and have a chat. RIP Mrs Beach.
