Sharon LAWSON Obituary

On 27th August our dear Sharon died peacefully aged 79. Cherished daughter of the late Reg & Jean Lawson. Much loved sister of Ash & Mike. Precious mother of Danny and Gerard. Grandmother of Hannah and James. Treasured Aunty of Brigitte, Yvette, Rawiri, Jessica, Nina, Rory and all of her great nieces and nephews. A very dear friend to many.

We first knew Sharon via mutual friends when she was Ferry Rd (Days Bay) based. It transpired Carol,although slightly younger, had also been raised & schooled in Hataitai/Mt.Vic so they'd many shared memories. Our friendship strengthened when Sharon "retired" to nearby Rona House - she became a favourite of our ginger cat,often house sitting him while we were away. We'll all miss her. Stan & Carol Swan (+ "George")

Lots of memories over 74 years of friendship collecting Famous Five books together, running in Hataitai park at night to get fit for hockey.
Playing hockey together for WEGC and then College Old Girls.
Getting letters from Sharon when she did Teacher training on the East Coast.
Lunches and catch ups at her house in Days Bay
