Dear Christine, David, Kate and family,
We are so sad to hear Simon is no longer with us all. As neighbouring families we enjoyed lots of fun times and support together. Simon was truly one of the most supportive and considerate of people. We are thinking of you all.

We are so sorry to hear of Simon's passing.

We used to hang out every weekend with Simon, Christine, David and Katie and their dogs. We went on holiday with them and loved them dearly.

We are so sorry we did no attend the funeral for Simon as we didn't know he had passed.

We shared a love of family, dogs and the great outdoors. I remember going hunting with Simon and David and Thomas and Rebecca in Marlborough while on holiday with them. We went kayaking and did lots of walking with our beloved dogs ... our love is with Christine David and Katie ... Tanya, Richard, Thomas and Rebecca xxx

Simon and I worked closely from 2018-2024 on all things events on the Waterfront & city parks. Throughout that time, although sometimes challenging, Simon was always steadfast in his manner, and always with dignity and grace. I always trusted his sage advice and felt very safe knowing he was around. He was the senior member of our work whanau and was loved and greatly respected by myself and so many others. I will carry with me many memories of the time we worked together. Sending much love, now and always x

Thinking of you Christine, and family at this very sad time.
I worked with Simon at NZ Police. I learned a lot from him, and we shared many laughs along the way.
After we had both left the organisation, he would always make time to stop on the street for a chat - forever smiling.
A great guy who will not be forgotten

The world has lost an incredible man. Simon was the go to guy at work for anything and everything - nothing was too much of a problem for him to solve. He was the first to put his hand up to help out when you needed him and he would do it with the biggest smile on his face. I´ll miss all his stories and his presence. Sending all my love to Christine and the family!
