Sir HASSALL Obituary
Died peacefully on 14 June 2021, in his 80th year, surrounded by family. Beloved husband and best friend of Jenny for 55 years; loving and much-loved father and father-in-law of Mark, Nicki and Michael, Melissa and Paul, Rebecca and Stefan; adored grandpa (Gaga) of Kate, Sophie, Sam, Jamie, Amelia, Charlotte and Thomas.
A rich life well lived in service of the children of Aotearoa.
Private cremation to be held followed by a public celebration of Ian's life at a later date due to trans-Tasman COVID restrictions. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to support the incredible staff at the Mercy Hospice on College Hill or Variety NZ.
