Stephen Anthony "Steve" RILEY

Stephen RILEY Obituary

On Friday 16th August 2024, aged 55. Dearly loved husband of Rebecca. Cherished father of Josh, Emily and Molly. Adored son of Anne and Brian Riley. Loved brother of Kevin, Christine, and John (deceased). Will be missed by his numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mental Health Foundation. Special thanks to Sally and Alexander Yates for all their support. Messages to the family may be left in Steve's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/- PO Box 14-366, Kilbirnie, Wellington 6241. A service to celebrate the life of Steve will be held at St Frances de Sales Church, 173 Clyde St, Island Bay, on Friday 23rd August at 11.00am.

Lots of memories, a great friend to my brother and our family. Steve was great to chat with, he made that long trip on the no 1 island bay bus, fly by. Always interesting and interested in others. You will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Steve.

I shared many great matches on the squash courts with Steve, mixed-in with a few laughs and enjoyed many a yarn on how we can become better players off the court - (which was always a work in progress). Steve will be missed immensely by the Island Bay squash club and myself. I'm very sorry for your loss to Steve's family.
