My deepest condolences to Donald and Sue whom I know best and also also Ruth his beloved wife, daughters Joanna and Andrea and their families. I only knew Tom and Ruth from being invited to join the family at various Christmas and other Gerson/Thompson lunches at Pukerua Bay. He was a truly wonderful erudite gentleman in the best sense. And his intrinsic intelligence and wit is a lasting legacy for his children - all of whom have inherited his spirit. May Tom rest in peace knowing that his legacy lives on. Raise a whiskey to his memory for me!
