Passed peacefully on 21 February 2026, surrounded by family, aged 62 years. Dearly loved son of William (Bill) and Daphne Hansen. Brother of Karen and the late Susan. A special thanks to the staff of Auckland City Hospital.

Always loved, always remembered.

The funeral service for Wayne will be held on Thursday 26 February 2026, at 11.00am in the Garden Chapel of Morrisons Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson.

As fellow residents of the King street project in Mount Cook in Wellington we got to know Wayne well. He had a witty and dry sense of humour that kept us amused. We will sadly miss him. RIP Nick Harvey and Rick Shirley
