Thomas DEVLIN Obituary

After a short illness in Townsville Queensland, Australia, on July 22, 2025, aged 77 years. In accordance with Tom's wishes a private cremation has been held. Much loved husband of Juliet for 54 years. Loved Dad and father-in-law of Philip and Elizabeth (Auckland), and Blair and Rosalind (Queenstown). Loved Poppa Tom to Amelia, Thomas and Holly, Leo and Sophie. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Order of St John would be appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be arranged for family, close friends and business contacts, details to be advised. Messages to the Devlin Family, The Russley Village, TH 39, 73 Roydvale Ave, Burnside, Christchurch 8053.

It was with deep sadness to read of Tom's passing in this mornings paper.
Condolences to you all. I worked with Tom at NZI for many years and he was a very likeable character. Tom definitely liked a laugh and a chat. RIP

I was devastated to hear of Toms passing and sincere condolences to Julie and family. Tom and I were childhood friends for over 70 years , played cricket and rugby in the same teams during school days and both played together in 1968 for the South Canterbury Senior Reserve rugby team in an unbeaten season. Tom was also a groomsman at my wedding. We have kept in touch over the years since and I have always enjoyed his company and talking about times we had together in Timaru, I am going to miss him , he was a very good person and great friend. RIP. TJ
